1. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched the AMLAN Anemia Mukta Lakshya Abhiyan in an effort to completely eradicate the problem of anemia in women and children in the state of Odisha. The state has formulated a multi-pronged approach to quickly reduce anemia. The report outlines the broad range of policy interventions required in various sectors for its application.

India has updated its NDC targets to achieve 50% of its total installed capacity from fossil-based energy sources, reduce emission intensity by 45% by 2030, and take steps towards achieving net zero by 2070. The role of carbon capture, utilization, and storage is important as a mitigation strategy to achieve decarbonization from difficult sectors.

The report suggests that CCUS can offer a range of opportunities to convert captured CO2 into diverse value-added products such as green urea, application in food and beverage form, construction materials, chemicals, polymers, etc. Including bio-plastics with wide market opportunities in India and enhanced oil recovery, thereby significantly contributing to the circular economy.
