The first Forest University was established in Telangana, India
The
Telangana Assembly passed the Universities of Forest (UoF) Act 2022. It is the
first in India. Globally, it is the third forestry university, the first being
Russia and China. The state Government has decided to expand the Forestry
College and Research Institute (FCRI) in Hyderabad. It will be converted into a
full-fledged university.
The
University promotes operational research by imparting comprehensive training to
farmers.
Objectives
of the University:
To
produce quality forest professionals for conservation, sustainable management
of forest resources,
Promotion
of research for propagation of plantation crops to meet the demand of
industries and development of suitable methods.

After Bihar and Odisha, Jharkhand has become the third state in eastern India
to have a food security atlas for its rural areas. Odisha and Bihar have
launched their atlases in 2018. Food Security Atlas Launched in Ranchi
Jharkhand Finance Minister Dr Rameshwar Oran has assured that the government
will work towards giving quota and green cards to food insecure districts.
It
was developed by the Delhi-based Institute for Human Development (IHD) as part
of research by the Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research in Mumbai.
The
entire belt of Santal Pargana region has been identified as a concern in terms
of food insecurity. The Atlas suggests that special attention needs to be paid
to food security.
The
state is characterized by inconsistency in food grain production, low crop
diversity and predominantly single cropping area. Improved irrigation is a
necessary mechanism to stabilize agricultural production through food security

16 is observed as World Ozone Day or for the preservation of the ozone layer.
The aim of the day is to create awareness about the importance and importance
of the ozone layer, which protects the earth from UV rays from the sun. The UN
Environment Program also calls for time-targeted measures to protect the
Earth's protective mantle, getting rid of ozone-depleting substances.

The Jharkhand government has agreed to a proposal to provide 77 per cent
reservation in state government jobs for SC, ST, backward classes and more
economically weaker sections. OBC reservation was increased from 14 percent to
27 percent earlier. The Jharkhand government approved a proposal to identify
local residents through land records dating back to 1932.

67 percent of the minimum wage for unskilled labor has been increased by the
Sikkim government from Rs. Increased to 500. Wages for unskilled workers are
Rs. 300, which from 11 July 2022 will be Rs. increased to 500. The daily wage
of semi-skilled workers is Rs. 320 to Rs. increased to 520. Skilled workers now
earn Rs. 535 which was previously Rs. 335 is there. Per day for highly skilled
workers Rs. 365 instead of Rs. 565 will be paid.
