September 22: World Rose Day is celebrated every year across the world for the
welfare of cancer patients. The day aims to encourage, support, bring joy and
hope to those battling cancer and remind them that they can win the fight
against cancer through determination and positivity.
Roses,
cards and gifts are given to cancer patients and their caregivers on World Rose
Day. Events like these give inner strength and motivation to patients.

Rose Day was first celebrated in honor of Melinda Rose, a 12-year-old cancer
patient from Canada. She died in 1996. According to reports, Rose was diagnosed
with Askins' tumor in 1994, a rare blood cancer. Doctors told her she would
only live a few weeks, but Melinda Rose lived for more than three years.

September 22 is World Rhino Day. Create awareness about different rhino species
and the dangers they face. The day also celebrates all five rhino species
namely the Sumatran, Black, Greater One-Horned, Javan and White Rhino. Today,
NGOs and zoos offer the general public an opportunity to respect rhinos in
their own unique ways. Rhino has become endangered in the wild due to years of
ongoing poaching and habitat loss, the day aims to spread the importance of
protecting these animals.

India's Ministry of Defense Rajnath Singh and Egypt's General Mohammad Zaki
signed the MoU to enhance defense cooperation. The meeting in Cairo decided to
improve joint military exercises, training, co-production and maintenance of
equipment.
The Egyptian counterparts were also invited to the Indian Ocean Defense Ministers' Meeting and the India-Africa Defense Dialogue to be held as part of the 12th Defexpo in Gandhi Nagar. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh acknowledged that Egypt is among India's most important trading partners in Africa and that bilateral trade has expanded.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said in a meeting that the
Maharashtra government intends to set up an organization on the lines of Niti
Aayog. The organization is responsible for conducting comprehensive data
analysis and making informed decisions about various state sectors.

to Devendra Fadnavis, NITI Aayog conducted a comprehensive investigation into
the interrelated issues and created a technology that allows for the analysis

disease outbreaks and another department has information on contaminated water.
If both departments share data, things will be much simpler, he said.

Noted industrialist Ratan Tata, former Supreme Court judge KT Thomas and former
Lok Sabha deputy speaker Kariya Munda have been nominated as trustees of the PM
Cares Fund. Both Shah and Sitharaman are trustees of PM Cares Fund.

ISRO has successfully tested a hybrid motor. This may lead to the development
of a new propulsion system for subsequent launch vehicles. The Bangalore-based
space agency said the 30 kN hybrid motor tested at ISRO's Propulsion Complex
(IPRC) in Mahendragiri, Tamil Nadu, is stackable and scalable. Liquid oxygen
(LOX) served as the oxidizer and hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene (HTPB) as
the fuel for the motor.

RBI Governor launched three key digital payment initiatives. The three digital
payment initiatives launched by RBI are Unified Payments Interface (UPI), Rupay
Credit Card on UPI. UPI Lite, and Bharat Bill Pay bill payments.
Now
UPI Lite will be enabled on BHIM app, offline users will be able to make small
value transactions in nearby mode. UPI Lite was launched to reduce the debit
load on the core banking system. thereby further improving the success rate of
transactions.
